A private evening journey to the heart of Fátima. Walk where three shepherd children saw the impossible in 1917, pray at the Chapel of the Apparitions, and stand among thousands of candles as Our Lady is carried across the great square.
Daytime tours pass through Fátima between two other stops: thirty minutes, a photo, back on the bus. We do the opposite. We arrive in the late afternoon, when the crowds thin and the light turns gold, and we stay for the one thing that stays with you: the candlelight procession.
It is private, it moves at your pace, and your guide is someone who knows both the story and the place by heart. No big group, no rushing, no script you cannot change.
The Chapel of the Apparitions, built on the exact spot of 1917. The vast prayer square, one of the largest in the world. The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, where Saints Francisco and Jacinta and Sister Lúcia now rest. There is time to light your own candle and simply be there.
Two kilometers and a hundred years from the basilica sits Aljustrel, the village where Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta were born. Their family homes are kept much as they left them: low doorways, stone walls, a working well. This is where the story becomes real and human.
A short walk from the village are Valinhos and the Loca do Cabeço, the quiet fields where the children tended their sheep and where the Angel and Our Lady appeared away from the crowds. An optional gentle walk along the Way of the Cross, beautiful at dusk.
After the evening Rosary, the lights go down and the square fills with flame. The statue of Our Lady moves slowly through the crowd, and at the end thousands raise a white handkerchief to say goodbye. People of every faith, and none, describe the same thing: chills, silence, and tears they did not expect.

Times are approximate and we adapt to you. The candlelight procession takes place every night; it is at its largest on the 12th of each month from May to October and on the 13th anniversaries.
