From Belem to Alfama, the Lisbon you feel in the details.
There is the Lisbon you find on postcards, and another that only shows itself when someone opens the right doors. This full-day private tour walks both. You begin in Belem, beside the river and the monuments that tell the story of the great voyages, and you end in the lanes of Alfama, where the city breathes fado, laundry hung from the windows and easy neighborhood chatter. Along the way you ride the old trams, pause at the loveliest viewpoints and uncover the quiet corners that rushed itineraries tend to miss. All at your own pace, with an attentive guide who shapes the day around what matters most to you.
Times are approximate and we adapt to you.
We pick you up at your hotel or an agreed meeting point and set off for Belem, talking through the day as the city slowly wakes.
We walk along the river between two icons of the age of discovery, with time for unhurried photos before the tour groups arrive.
We taste the famous pastry still warm, dusted with cinnamon, at the house that has kept the original recipe since 1837.
We swap the car for the yellow tram and climb the narrow streets, swaying along to the city's timeless rhythm.
We stop at one of the loveliest viewpoints to take in the Tagus, then sit down to lunch at a handpicked neighborhood tasca.
We wander on purpose through lanes, courtyards and tilework that hold centuries of history, well off the obvious route.
We make our way on foot through the maze of Alfama, past laundry in the windows and neighbors chatting, feeling the city's soulful side.
We finish at a final viewpoint as the sun goes down and take you back, the city still fresh in your memory.

Ideal for first-time visitors who want to truly understand Lisbon, and just as good for those who already know it but are after the less obvious corners. Perfect for couples, families and small groups of friends who would rather spend a day at their own pace, with genuine attention, instead of a rushed mass tour. It involves walking and some steep streets, so comfortable shoes make all the difference.
It is. The guide and the vehicle are yours alone, normally up to 6 guests. There is no shared group and no commission shopping stops.
Portuguese or English, whichever you prefer. Your guide is local and bilingual, and speaks Portuguese with both Brazilians and Portuguese every day of the week.
There is a fair amount, especially in Alfama, which is all slopes and cobblestones. The vehicle covers the longer hops, but bring comfortable shoes and tell us if anyone needs a gentler pace.
The historic tram ride and the pastel de Belém are included. Entry inside the monuments is not, and you only pay if you actually want to go in. We always tell you what is worth seeing inside and what is better appreciated from outside.
It is not included, deliberately: we take you to tascas where the food is good and the price is fair, and we sit with you. That way you order what you want and pay only for that.
No advance payment: you settle at the end, however suits you: cash, card, MB WAY, Wise, Revolut, or PayPal. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed time.
